My first post
We all remember Neil Armstrong's first words after stepping onto the Moon: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
But what about the first words spoken from the Moon, after the landing but before the moonwalk? These were spoken, not by the astronauts, but by the Eagle lander itself.
Silently but distinctly within its software, the Eagle confirmed it had made solid contact with the ground, counted slowly backwards from ten, and then announced:
"HELLO WORLD!"
